ABOUT JOE BANANA LIMOS

Founded in 2010 by Giovanni Guida (aka Joe Banana), Joe Banana Limos is a family run business based in Vico Equense, near Sorrento in Southern Italy. Built on Giovanni’s decades of experience in the European travel industry as a tour director, the Joe Banana team also includes his brother Pierpaulo, a licensed tour guide and popular guest on the Untold Italy podcast.

Today the company is a full-service travel agency with a well established fleet of vehicles, professional English speaking drivers, private boats and more that are the foundation of their service and experience business.

Joe Banana is Giovanni’s nickname which comes from the popular tradition of nicknames in the South of Italy – nearly every family has one. It was bestowed on 9 year old Giovanni who used to ride on the back of his fruit selling Grandad’s three-wheel minivan eating bananas. Spotted by his school friends one day, from that moment  on his nickname became “Banana”.

For the team at Joe Banana, simply sharing information is not enough, they love to share their passions with their guests. They create incredible tailor-made experiences based on human interactions and understanding. Their guests may forget how new, clean and comfortable their vehicle was, how spacious and relaxing their boat was, or maybe even some of the incredible meals and views they experience (though unlikely!), but they will never forget the name of the person they shared their experiences with and were guided by. Joe Banana’s ethos is to work together as a family with the professionalism of a business.
