Job Description: Associate Community Manager – Italy Travel Planning (Australia time zone)
Love travel and all things Italian? We’re hiring a part-time contract Associate Community Manager to help moderate and manage our popular Facebook group – Italy Travel Planning covering the Australian EST time zone. Join the amazing team at Untold Italy and be part of a growing brand dedicated to helping travelers plan their trips to Italy.
Who we’re looking for
You are positive, high energy, and passionate about social media, travel and la dolce vita! Your natural charm is your greatest asset and you enjoy maintaining a kind and collaborative community wherever you go. Knowing how to adapt your voice and tone for our brand requirements, you’ll appreciate the need to be very organized and create processes and procedures to be effective in your role.
Requirements
- Cover Australian EST time zone 9am – 5pm – location not a problem as long as this requirement is met
- Experience managing Facebook Groups
- Social Media guru – especially Facebook and Instagram
- Desktop/laptop computer
- Knowledge of Smarter Queue scheduling ideal but not essential
- Accept payment in Australian or US dollars
Tasks
- Vet and approve member applications
- Moderate posts and comments
- Add relevant content to promote Untold Italy and partners in the group as appropriate
- Review scheduled posts
- Work with founder and Euro zone Community Manager to improve group interaction and processes
This is an entry level contractor position starting at 5 hours per week with plenty of potential to extend to broader social media management opportunities for the right candidate. Compensation will depend on experience and final determination of duties with the candidate.

Through our weekly podcast and inspirational and practical articles about travel, culture and experiences in Italy we reach over 250K travelers a month who are looking to craft dream trips to Italy full of unforgettable experiences and memories. We’ve recently launched Untold Italy Tours that take small groups of food and wine and culture loving travelers off the beaten path in some of the lesser known regions of Italy.
The successful applicant in this role will work alongside Katy based in Melbourne, Australia, our Euro zone Community Manager and our wonderful moderators from around the world.
